Candidate should have passed Essential (i) Consistently good academic record with a post-graduate degree in Ist or High IInd class (55% or above marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, and F) in Acharya or M.A. (Skt.) or an equivalent Oriental Degree from a recognized Examining Body in the concerned subject. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
