i) Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or one of the other qualifications in Electrical Engineering as specified in appendix B of Punjab Service of Engineers, Class-II, PWD B&R Branch Rules, 1965. Provided that Degree obtained through correspondence or distance education mode from Universities/Deemed Universities/Technical Institutions is valid qualification for initial recruitment only if such Degree programme of technical education conducted through distance education mode has been approved by the joint Committee of UGC-AICTE-DEC as clarified by the Govt. of Haryana vide its letter No. 42/178/2008-5GSI dated 21.05.2009. ii) Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard.
