Candidate should have passed A master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the U.G.C. 7 points scale. The condition of 55 % of marks at Master’s level is relaxable in case of applicants who are already in the University system. A relaxation of 5 % from 55% of the marks at the Master’s level is permissible for S.C./S.T. candidates. A relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of the marks is permissible to the Ph. D. Degree holder, who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
