Rs. 37,400-67,000/- Academic Grade Pay Rs. 10,000/-
(i) Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scales and a consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations. (ii) At least 13 years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in a university library or 18 years’ experience as a College Librarian. (iii) Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work. (iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff and Measure for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010. OR Deputy Librarian completing service of three years in the AGP of Rs. 9000 and otherwise eligible as per the API scoring system and PBAS methodology developed in UGC Regulations, 2016 (4th Amendment) with a Ph.D. Desirable: (i) M.Phil. / Ph.D. degree in Library Science/ Information Science / Documentation / Archives and manuscript-keeping. (ii) Exposure in working with leading libraries on Law and Allied Subjects with research orientation.
