Job Description: Wildlife Institute of India (WII) invites applications for recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Research Biologist, Project Biologist, Senior Project Biologist, Project Assistant, Forensic Researcher in Dehradun. Last date for application is 20th June 2016.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 07
Educational Qualification:Masters’ Degree in Botany / Forestry with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. OR M. Tech/M.Phil in any discipline relevant to Biological Science/Life Science/Ecological Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks aggregate. Desirable Qualification: Research experience on Floristics/Ecological surveys/Climate change/RS & GIS related studies in western Himalaya. Candidates with strong physical and mental abilities and keen desire to carry out arduous fieldwork in the remote and rugged high altitude areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may apply
Pay Scale:Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Age Limit:shall not be more than 28 years.
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - 02
Educational Qualification:Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Biology/Zoology/Forestry/Environmental Science/Life Science/Geo-Informatics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University with a minimum of 2 (two) years’ research experience after Masters’ Degree. OR M.Tech/M.Phil in any discipline relevant to Biological Science/Life Science/Ecological Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks aggregate and possess at least two years of research experience.
Pay Scale:Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Age Limit:shall not be more than 32 years.
Research Biologists - 05
Educational Qualification:Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/Forestry/Natural Resource Management/Life Sciences from a recognized University. OR M. Tech/M.Phil in any discipline relevant to Biological Science/Life Science/Ecological Sciences.
Pay Scale:Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Age Limit:shall not be more than 30 years.
Project Biologist - 02
Educational Qualification:Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/Life Sciences/|Environmental Sciences from a recognized University. OR M. Tech/M.Phil in any discipline relevant to Biological Science/Life Science/Ecological Sciences. Desirable Qualification: Experience in wildlife surveys, population estimation, GIS, knowledge of different software(s) e.g. Distance, Capture, Mark etc.
Pay Scale:Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Age Limit:shall not be more than 30 years.
Senior Project Biologist - 01
Educational Qualification:Ph.D. in Zoology/Wildlife Science/Life Sciences relevant to wildlife research, with one year Post Ph.D. experience from a reputed institute/laboratory. Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidate who will be having working knowledge of wildlife research methodologies and forensic applications using morphological and chemical analysis.
Pay Scale:Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Age Limit:shall not be more than 40 years.
Project Assistant - 01
Educational Qualification:Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/Zoology/Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. OR M.Tech/M.Phil in any discipline relevant to Biological Science/Life Science/Ecological Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Desirable Qualification: Experience of working on birds or other wildlife species. Aptitude and willingness to work in harsh environments that will involve extensive trekking to different sites in mountainous terrain
Pay Scale:Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Age Limit:shall not be more than 30 years.
Forensic Researcher - 03
Educational Qualification:Masters’ Degree in Biotechnology / Genetics /Biochemistry/Microbiology/Zoology/Life Sciences/Veterinary Science/Wildlife Science and Biological Conservation from a recognized University. OR M. Tech/M.Phil in any discipline relevant to Biological Science/Life Science/Ecological Sciences. Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge of modern genetics/molecular biology/lab experience/analytical skill and use of genetics software(s).
Pay Scale:Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (as admissible)
Age Limit:shall not be more than 40 years.
