Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) invites applications for recruitment of Junior Engineer, Project Assistant in Pune. Last date for application is 14th July 2016.
Junior Engineer (For Fluid Dynamics Lab.) - 01
Educational Qualification:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Instrumentation Engineering with overall first class or Masters degree in M.Sc. Physics/ Instrumentation/ Atmospheric Sciences with overall first class in M.Sc. as well as in Bachelors degree. Good knowledge of basic fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer etc.
Pay Scale:Rs.22,000/- per month
Age Limit:28 years as on 01.07.2016. (upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for sc/st, 3 years for obc, 10 years for physically handicapped and as per rule for ex-servicemen).
Project Assistant (for Fog field campaign) - 01
Educational Qualification:M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences / Atmospheric Sciences /Physics with first class having basic knowledge in the field of air pollution, remote sensing and meteorology. Knowledge of Computers, data management.
Pay Scale:Rs.22,000/- per month
Age Limit:28 years as on 01.07.2016. (upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for sc/st, 3 years for obc, 10 years for physically handicapped and as per rule for ex-servicemen).
Project Assistant (for CAIPEEX) - 01
Educational Qualification:Masters degree in with overall first class in Atmospheric Sciences) / Physics Desirable Qualifications : The candidate should have good knowledge of basic ideas in atmospheric boundary layer, thermodynamics, and programming in FORTRAN 90 or other languages for data analysis, familiarity with software packages such as Matlab/NCL or other. Experience in micrometeorological and eddy covariance data analysis and other boundary layer data are highly desirable. Willingness to participate in the field campaigns is also desirable.

Junior Engineer (Instrumentation/ Electronics) - 01
Educational Qualification:First Class in BE/B.Tech. (Instrumentation/Electronics) OR First Class in M.Sc. (Instrumentation / Electronics) Desirable Qualifications : Experience in Atmospheric instrumentation or maintenance of instrumentation and data acquisition and control system/software on electronic instrumentation and maintenance.
Pay Scale:Rs.22,000/- per month
