Rs.4O,OOO/- per month plus HRA as per the Institute rules.
Ph.D. in Computer Science/information Technology/Electrical Engineering/ Electronics, or equivalent and above. Candidate who has already submitted Ph.D. thesis is also eligible. Desirable: Knowledge in image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning and good knowledge in computer programming.

Candidates appearing for the written test/interview are required to bring with them the application addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Computer & Communication Sciences Division, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata along with bio-data stating (a) Name; (b) Address and Telephone number; (c) E-mail address; (d) Parent/Spouse's Name; (e) Date of Birth; (f) Educational Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination); (g) Experiences, if any, and (h) SC/STIOBC/Different disabled status along with attested copies of all certificates. They should also bring the original copies of the certificates for verification. Candidates will have to report at the Office of the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 2O3 B.T. Road, Kolkata 7OO1O8, on the day of interview half an hour before the time. The Institute reserves the right not to appoint any of the above.
