Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-67,000 + AGP Rs.10,000/-

Qualification Required: i. Good academic record with at least 55% of marks, or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale, where grading system is practiced, at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University. A relaxation of 5% will be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master’s level for the SC/ST Category. ii. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6,000/- and above or 8 years of experience as Associate Professor in the AGP of Rs.9,000/- and above or its equivalent cadre along with experience in educational administration (OR) Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education (OR) 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. iii. Ph.D. Degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized University is desirable, and iv. Knowledge of Tamil to the extent of carrying out official correspondences and drafting reports is essential.
