Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) invites applications for recruitment of Teaching Positions in Lucknow. Last date for application is 31st March 2016.
Professor - 02
Educational Qualification:A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of the third schedule of the said act shall also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said act. In addition, a postgraduate qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or equivalent thereto, as indicated in the table below for each post, is required. Diplomate National Board (DNB), shall be treated as equivalent to the MD, MS / DM, MCh qualifications of the respective broad / super-specialties. Candidate should have completed total 14, 10, 6 and 3 years of teaching and/or research experience at a recognized teaching institution, after the prescribed MD/PhD degree for the posts Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, respectively as on last date of submission of application OR 12, 8, 4 years and 1 year of teaching and/or research experience, respectively, after obtaining the degree of DM/MCh (2-year duration) in the concerned specialty OR 11, 7, 3, 0 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the degree of DM/MCh (3 years duration) in the respective specialty as on last date of submission of application. In subjects where DM/MCh qualification is not yet mandated by the MCI, 3-years’ post-MD/MS experience in concerned specialty as Senior Resident at an Institute recognized by MCI for the purpose will be accepted in lieu of such qualification for the post of Assistant Professor. Prescribed duration of experience will be determined as per Institute rules.
Pay Scale:(PB-4) Rs. 37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10,500/-
Age Limit:50 years.
Associate Professor - 05

Assistant Professor - 59
