Job Description: National Institute of Virology (NIV) invites applications for recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (Non Medical), Research Associate, Senior Research Fellow (Non-Med) in Pune. Last date for application is 4th January 2016.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Non Medical) - 01
Educational Qualification:Post Graduate Degree in Life Science with NET qualification (LS). Desirable: 1. Research work experience in the area of Animal Tissue culture / Virology / Serology / handling infectious agents, samples. 2. Knowledge of computer applications for analysis, report writing & publication purpose
Pay Scale:Rs. 16,000/- + HRA
Age Limit:below 28 years.
Research Associate (RA) - 01
Educational Qualification:Ph.D in Life Sciences. Desirable: 1. Experience in cell culture and related techniques 2. Experience in mass spectrometry, data analysis and functional characterization of proteins. 3. Experience in handling of small laboratory animals 4. Experience in proteomics, transcriptome analysis and gene expression analysis 5. Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques including cloning and recombinant protein expression, protein purification, immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation.
Pay Scale:Rs. 36,000/- + HRA
Age Limit:below 40 years.
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (Non-Med) - 01
Educational Qualification:1. Post-Graduate In Life Sciences Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology 2. Two years research experience. Desirable: 1. Immunological / Mol. Biology Techniques, Cell Culture 2. Experience in staining and use of flow cytometry. 3. Knowledge of computer applications for analysis, reports writing & publication purpose
Pay Scale:Rs. 36,000/- + HRA
Age Limit:below 35 years.
