National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) invites applications for recruitment of Scientist in Chennai. Last date for application is 29th April 2016.
Scientist ‘D’ (Medical)
Educational Qualification:MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or an equivalent degree from a recognized university with 8 years R&D / Teaching experience in General Medicine/ Pediatrics/ Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases after MBBS Degree out of which at least 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a leadership role. Or Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with five years R&D / teaching experience in General Medicine / Pediatrics/ Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with six years R&D/ teaching experience in General Medicine / Pediatrics / Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases from recognized University out of which at least 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a leadership role. Desirable qualifications: (i) Doctorate Degree or MD in Medicine/ Pediatrics/ Obstetrics and Gynecology from a recognized university for candidates with a first class relevant degree. (ii) Additional Post doctoral research/ teaching experience in the above-mentioned subjects in recognized institute(s) (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
Pay Scale:(PB-3) Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600/- plus NPA & other allowances as per Rules
Age Limit:not exceeding 45 years.
Scientist ‘C’
Educational Qualification:First Class Master’s degree in Statistics/Bio-Statistics from a recognized university with 4 years R&D/ teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree. Or Second class M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in Statistics / Bio-Statistics from a recognized University with 4 years R&D / teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc.+Ph.D. Desirable qualifications: (i) Doctorate Degree in Statistics/Bio-Statistics from a recognized university. (ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in the above-mentioned subjects in recognized institute(s) (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/ Data Management.
Pay Scale:(PB-3) Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.6600/- plus NPA & other allowances as per Rules
Age Limit:not exceeding 40 years.
