National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) invites applications for recruitment of Scientist in Chennai. Last date for application is 26th August 2016.
Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics)
Educational Qualification:First Class Master’s degree in Statistics from a recognized university. Or Second class M.Sc.in Statistics + Ph.D. in Statistics from a recognized University. Desirable qualifications: (i) Doctorate in Statistics from a recognised University. (ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in Statistics in recognized institute(s) (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/ Data Management. (iv) Two years R & D in health research / Teaching experience in Statistics after obtaining essential qualification.
Pay Scale:(PB-3) Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-
Age Limit:not exceeding 35 years. relaxable 3 years in age for obc and 10 years for physically handicapped (ph) candidates.
Scientist ‘C’ (Social Science)
Educational Qualification:First Class Master’s degree in Social Work / Sociology/ Psychology / Anthropology from a recognized University with 4 years R & D / teaching experience in the relevant subject, after Master’s degree. (Or) Second class Master’s degree in Social Work / Sociology / Psychology /Anthropology + Ph.D. in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 4 years R & D / teaching experience, after Master’s degree + Ph.D. Desirable Qualification: (i) Doctorate in the above subjects from a recognized University. (ii) Additional Post doctoral research / teaching experience in the above subjects in recognized institute(s) in health research. (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications
Pay Scale:(PB-3) Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600/-
Age Limit:not exceeding 40 years. relaxable 5 years in age for sc and 10 years for physically handicapped (ph) candidates.
