M.Sc. in Botany/ Agriculture/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology from a recognised University or Institute with consistently good academic record. Desirable: One year research experience in any Biological Laboratory having expertise in handling Laboratory equipment's and also knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop.

Candidates appearing for the interview are required to bring with them the application addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Biological Sciences Division, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B.T. Road, Kolkata - 700108 along with bio-data stating (a) Name (In block letters), (b) Permanent and Present Mailing Address, (c) E-mail Address, (d) Telephone/Mobile No., (e) Parents/Spouse's Name, (f) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination), (h) Experience (if any), (i) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status along with self-attested copies of all documents/testimonials. They should also bring the original copies of the certificates for verification. Candidates will have to report at the office of the Agricultural and Ecological Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B.T. Road, Kolkata - 700108 on the day of interview half an hour before the time. The Institute reserves the right not to appoint any of the above.
