(a) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Mathematics from a recognized Indian University or f rom an accredited foreign University. (b) A pass in the National Eligibility Test(NET ) conducted by the C.S.I .R. or similar test like SLET / SET. (c) However, the candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D degree shall be exempted f rom the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET /SLET / SET .
