Job Description: Indian Maritime University (IMU) invites applications for recruitment of Laboratory Instructor, Senior Technician in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai. Last date for application is 18th March 2016.

Laboratory Instructor - 01
Educational Qualification:(1) Petty Officer in Seaman branch from Indian Navy / Coast Guard (or) (2) Second Mate Near Coastal Voyage (NCV).
Pay Scale:Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800/-
Age Limit:not exceeding 40 years.
Senior Technician for Marine Workshop (Diesel/Power & Maintenance) - 03
Educational Qualification:(i) Marine Fitter from Merchant Navy (or) (ii) Petty Officer of Marine Engineering branch from Indian Navy / Coast Guard (or) (iii) Near Coastal Voyage (NCV) class IV Engineer.
Pay Scale:Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-
Age Limit:not exceeding 40 years.
Senior Technician for Navigation Laboratory - 03
Educational Qualification:Petty Officer in Seaman Branch (Radar Plotter Rating) from Indian Navy or Coast Guard or Navigating Watch Keeping Officer (NWKO) from Near Coastal Voyage (NCV). Desirable: Relevant work experience for a period of 1 year.
Pay Scale:Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-
Age Limit:not exceeding 40 years.
Senior Technician for Fitting and Basic Workshop - 03
Educational Qualification:3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering from an institute approved by the All Indian Council of Technical Education (or) Petty Officer of Mechanical Engineering branch (POME) from Indian Navy or Coast Guard. Desirable: Relevant work experience for a period of 1 year.
Pay Scale:Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-
Age Limit:not exceeding 35 years.
