Rs. 43,000/- plus relevant research expenses.
The applicant should hold a Ph.D. in Ancient History and/or Archaeology or a related subject (e.g. Anthropology) - completed within the last five years - and have a strong training and suitable experience in archaeological field and lab methods, with a thrust in Paleolithic archaeology and/or geoarchaeology. The candidate must be able to carry out experimental flint knapping and also teach flintknapping and tool-using methods in a group setting. Basic computer skills and proficiency in English are desirable, along with willingness to work hard and show intellectual enthusiasm.
