as per industry norms
PhD with a strong focus on gender research in Rural Sociology, Sociology, Development Studies, or Agronomy. Experience with agriculture research, agriculture-nutrition linkages and especially participatory methodologies required. Experience with plant breeding (participatory plant breeding/participatory varietal selection) highly desirable Experience in data set management and analysis; experience with qualitative and quantitative methods highly desirable. Proven ability to work with an interdisciplinary team (constituting of social and biophysical scientists). 1-2 years relevant experience in the developing world, agriculture and gender. Excellent language knowledge of both English and French are highly desired.
