Scientist
Educational Qualification:(i) At least First Class Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology in Marine / Mechanical / Industrial Engg & Production / Mechanical & Production / Production from a recognized university or equivalent. (ii) 10 Years experience in research or design or development or production in Marine Engineering for naval ships or submarines in major shipbuilding yard/ships/repair yards / Projects / R&D organizations. (iii) Weightage for higher qualification to be equated as a research experience for lateral recruitment as under Post Graduate Degree in Engineering - Two years Doctorate Degree in Engineering - Four years Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the subject concerned. (ii) Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese.
Pay Scale: Rs.1,23,100/-, Level 13 as per 7th CPC
Age Limit:Not exceeding 45 years.

(ii) 10 Years experience in research or design or development or production or testing of weapon / Electrical power generation / Controls / Navigation / Sensor Systems on Naval Ships / Ship Building Yards / Repair Yards / Projects / R&D organization. (iii) Weightage for higher qualification to be equated as research experience for lateral recruitment as under: Post Graduate Degree in Engineering - Two years Doctorate Degree in Engineering - Four years Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the subject concerned. (ii) Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese.
