The applicant should be a qualified Mining Engineer and holder of 1st class certificate of competency under the Indian Mines Act or a qualified Engineer in Excavation, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
The applicant should have adequate technical/operational experience at a senior level of management in a large organization of repute, out of which at least eight years' cumulative experience during the last ten years should have been in Mining Operations or Mine Planning.
